Ingredients


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 5 large eggs

  • 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 cup salted butter at room temperature, cubed

  • 1 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (optional)


Directions:


  1. ​Preheat oven to 350F. Into a bowl, add your butter and sugar. Then, whisk for approximately 4 minutes, until the ingredients are light and fluffy.

  2. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.

  3. Fold in your flour with a spatula.

  4. Grease a 9x5 loaf pan with non-stick spray and line it with parchment paper.

  5. Evenly spread the cake batter into the loaf pan.

  6. Bake your pound cake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. ​Allow your pound cake to cool to room temperature before serving.
