Ingredients
9 large eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
4 - 1/2 cups milk
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 recipe of Caramelized Sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Make the caramelized sugar and pour it into a Bundt cake pan. Follow link for caramelized sugar!
Into a blender, add the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and sugar. Blend for 1 minute, until everything is well combined.
Pour the mixture over the caramelized sugar and wrap it tightly with aluminum foil. Prepare a bain-marie with a large baking dish. Place the Bundt cake pan inside. Pour hot water into the large baking dish, about one inch above the base of your pan, before placing it in the oven.
Bake for about 1 hour and 45 minutes, until the flan is firm. Carefully remove the flan from the bain-marie and allow it to come to room temperature for 2 hours. Then, place it in the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
Remove the flan from the fridge. Gently run a butter knife around the edges of the pan, to ensure that the flan is loose from the pan. Place a serving platter on top of the Bundt cake pan and carefully invert your flan onto the platter.
