Recipe By: Queen G's Recipes

Serves: 4 to 6

Ingredients


  • 1 - 550ml can of chick peas (rinsed and dried)

  • 2 - 3 cloves of garlic

  • 1/4 cup tahini (optional)

  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to your liking)

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 5 - 6 tablespoons filtered water

Directions:


  1. Into a food processor, add chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin and paprika. Pulse for about 2 minutes or until your mixture is smooth.

  2. Add salt, black pepper and water. Pulse until you reach your desired consistency.

  3. If needed, add another 1 to 2 tablespoons of filtered water.

  4. Serve your hummus in a dish and decorate it with roasted chickpeas and cayenne pepper. You may optionally add a drizzle of olive oil.
