Ingredients
1 - 550ml can of chick peas (rinsed and dried)
2 - 3 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup tahini (optional)
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/3 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 - 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to your liking)
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
5 - 6 tablespoons filtered water
For Garnish:
Cayenne pepper
Roasted chickpeas for garnish
Directions:
Into a food processor, add chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin and paprika. Pulse for about 2 minutes or until your mixture is smooth.
Add salt, black pepper and water. Pulse until you reach your desired consistency.
If needed, add another 1 to 2 tablespoons of filtered water.
Serve your hummus in a dish and decorate it with roasted chickpeas and cayenne pepper. You may optionally add a drizzle of olive oil.
