Homemade Bagels (3 Ingredients)

Ingredients


  • 2 - 2/3 cups self-rising flour

  • 1 - 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • ​NOTE: If you don't have self-rising flour, you may use 3 cups of all-purpose flour and 1-1/2 tablespoons of baking powder. Adjust the amount of salt to your liking.


Egg wash:

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon of milk


Toppings:

  • everything bagel seasoning

  • cinnamon sugar


Directions:


  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. ​Into a bowl, add the Greek yogurt, self rising flour and salt. Mix with your hands for about 5 minutes. Place your dough on your counter, with no flour and knead it for another 2 minutes, until a dough forms.

  3. Flour your counter lightly, and place the dough on top. Roll the dough into a log shape and evenly slice the dough. Slice the dough into 4 large or 6 small portions.

  4. To form the bagel, roll each piece in your palm to form a smooth ball. Gently press your thumb into the center of each ball. Stretch the hole to form your bagel.

  5. Place the bagels on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure to leave enough space between each bagel before baking.

  6. Brush your egg wash on top of each bagel and sprinkle desired toppings.

  7. Bake for 25 minutes. The bagels will become a nice golden brown.
