Serves: 6

Prep time: 10 minutes

Bake time: 14 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 package whole wheat tortillas (10-inch or smaller)

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Cut each tortilla in half, then cut each half into 4 triangles for larger chips. You can adjust the size to your preference.

  3. Place the tortilla pieces in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss until evenly coated.

  4. Spread the chips in a single layer on two baking sheets. They can touch but should not overlap too much.

  5. Sprinkle salt evenly over the chips.

  6. Place one baking sheet on the top rack and one on the bottom rack of the oven. Bake for 7 minutes.

  7. After 7 minutes, flip the chips and switch the baking sheets (move the top one to the bottom and vice versa). Bake for another 7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dips!

Tip: For extra flavor, add spices like garlic powder, smoked paprika, or chili powder before baking.
